As technology advances, the importance of hosting an impactful, virtual platform to interact with customers is becoming increasingly important. Whether it’s creating an online store, hosting a community forum, or providing a reliable source for information about your service, your company’s internet presence is becoming a crucial factor to a businesses success.
That is why I am fairly shocked that the University of Michigan, one of the top schools in the country in many aspects, does not offer a degree in the field of Digital Marketing at the Ann Arbor campus, their main location. A class on the subject is currently offered, and i wouldn’t be surprised to see this number increase in the very near future, but as of now it is only offered at U of M’s Dearborn location. For a school that is one of the nation’s leaders in many fields of academics, with one of the top business schools in the country, I find it shocking that they have not yet implemented a program to focus on such an increasingly crucial aspect to the business world in this increasingly digital age. Luckily, for the Wolverines at heart, it is offered at their campus in Dearborn, so it is still possible to obtain a Michigan degree for eBusiness! The program here has an excellent reputation on the subject, ranking as one of the top 40 Digital Marketing schools in the country. You can read all about that in my previous blog post, linked below!
